On July 31st, Turbo and his crew take Turbotown by storm in the all-new season of ‘ DREAMWORKS TURBO FAST,’ premiering exclusively on Netflix July 31st. Season one and two of DreamWorks’ Turbo FAST are available now! Don’t go into this new season of the show expecting a masterpiece but, if you’re looking for a good laugh, season two of DreamWorks’ Turbo FAST is the right place for you to go. The show was well animated, had fun stories, and there were a few instants when it made me laugh out loud (which is really hard to do). While Turbo FAST is by no means a perfect show, I have to say that I really enjoyed watching it. And the creative team behind the show managed to transform the CG characters from the movie perfectly into 2D characters, which was a huge improvement from the movie. The animation has a classic feel to it that reminds me of cartoons that I watched growing up. The animation in the show looks fantastic and, unlike shows like All Hail King Julian, I could simply enjoy the show and focus on the story without being distracted by cheap looking animation. While most of the DreamWorks TV shows are computer animated, Turbo FAST is – surprisingly enough – 2D animated. ![]() Because this new season has 26 separate stories, the creators had enough time to focus on each of the snail characters and explore them more than they got to do in the movie (as well as introduce some hilarious new characters that weren’t in the movie). ![]() This new season once again features the snail characters that were the main focus of the movie and first season of the show, as well as some hilarious new characters that we’ve never seen before. The show is well written, has some hilarious and recognizable situations and characters, and it features some hilarious references that only adults will get. While one might expect that this is mainly a show made for kids, I think adults will probably enjoy it even more than kids will. But, after watching a few new episodes from the second season, I have to say that I fairly enjoyed watching the show. Not being a big fan of previous DreamWorks shows on Netflix, nor the movie this is show was based off, I was quite worried that I wasn’t going to like this show either. Each episode features two, 11-minute adventures that are simply a joy to watch. This new season features 26 fantastic new adventures with your favorite snails, as well as some hilarious new characters. ![]()
